“Foot-binding（裹脚）” is the practice of binding young girls’ feet together to decrease the shape and size of their feet, it destructs the structure of the human body by wrapping the foot with fabrics, lots of people support that high heels are for the male gaze.

Nowadays, it’s normal when we walk on the street and see people wearing high heels. High heels might serves for the power of patriarchy society to “slow down” women and become the new version of foot-binding.
